We can offer a mix of part-time and full-time jobs based in Buxton, Derbyshire. These jobs are in three main areas as follows:
Telephone Research (part time)
We maintain a team of part-time telephone researchers who form the core of our customer survey activities. Acting as ambassadors for our clients, you will need to be polite and friendly with a good telephone manner and the ability to understand and follow instructions and questionnaire-related scripts, accurately recording answers whilst helping the respondents to understand questions and maintain interest. A good telephone manner and a sound grasp of the English language are essential and, for some of our global clients, fluent foreign-language speakers are required.
Report Production (full and part time)
The Customer Reports team provide a crucial part of our finished product to our clients and the standards are necessarily high. Taking raw survey data from the telephone researchers, you will be responsible for manipulating the data using industry-standard PC software to transform it into meaningful information. Strong numeric and English language skills are essential together with accuracy and attention to detail. In addition, analytical skills and a flair for design will be useful and good PC skills are essential to provide the high quality reports which are relevant to the unique needs of each individual client.
You will work closely with the management team, often to tight timescales, to produce reports which distil the essence of the findings in an easily accessible and understood manner and on which our clients will be able to base future business decisions and actions.
Occasional visits to our clients' premises may be required for establishing fine detail on requirements, building a rapport and assisting in the presentation of the report.
Marketing and Business Development (full and part time)
The Marketing team has the challenging objective of exploiting the considerable potential in our marketplace and driving the growth of our business.
We require a range of roles and skills. These include the ability to develop innovative but focussed marketing strategies and put them into action. We also need people with the skills to make direct personal contact with potential clients and convince them of the benefits of our service. Last but not least we need marketing administration skills to maintain databases, produce promotional material and manage communications.
Depending on the role, you are likely to have an optimistic, friendly and outgoing nature with an understanding of marketing, an ability to generate and sell ideas both alone and in a team environment, with strong inter-personal and communication skills. Good PC skills are essential and for the business development role you will need to have the presence and confidence to meet with, and present to, potential clients as well as the ability to produce sales proposals.
